FAQ
What is the best way to paint an MDF TOSIZE piece of furniture?
MDF Clear has an absorbent effect. For good and even coverage, it is important to apply a primer first and then paint. Tip: have the primer mixed in advance in the correct colour. Want to save time? Then choose primed MDF, in which case the priming is already done and you only need to apply the finishing coat in the right colour. The primer coat is always white and is also on the primer band.
We finished the edges of the MDF with a primer band. This eliminates the need to pre-treat the cut edges to eliminate the extremely absorbent effect. Assemble the cabinet first and then paint. This saves a lot of space and risk of damage during assembly. And you can seal/filler any unevenness before painting. You can use ordinary water-based interior wood paint (acrylic). Tip: mount door fittings after you have painted for a tight finish. Read more about painting a TOSIZE Furniture cabinet here.
