FAQ

What is the difference between BST, CST, TST in Unilin panels?

CST, BST and TST are different top layer structures of Unilin panels, especially in their production and specification. Below for each term is what to expect:

CST - Soft pearl:

CST can be described as a silk gloss topcoat with fine orange texture. It is a subtle, transparent layer that allows the colour or texture to shine. CST technology gives the surface a refined look with a touch of luxury.

BST - Top mat:

BST is similar to CST, but has a finer texture and reflects less light than CST. The name top matt refers to the transparent top layer with fine orange texture, but with a matt appearance. BST technology makes the surface of the panel look natural and realistic.

TST - Mini pearl:

TST is between BST and CST in terms of texture. It has a finer orange texture than CST and less shine, but a fraction more shine than the BST texture.

The letter combinations in Unilin panels refer to the quality and visual aspects of the panels, especially in terms of texture, colour and gloss level. It is important to realise that the letter combinations each have their own effect on the panels. Read all about Unilin's different structures here.
