In this DIY project, Bastien shows how he used custom sawn MDF to make his own drawer units and tool box. Below you will find more information on his approach and experience.

Description of the Bastien

In search of practical storage, I recently undertook the creation of three pieces of furniture with two drawers each, as well as a toolbox with a lid. The need to optimize space pushed me to design these functional pieces of furniture without using specific tools. The manufacturing process, although sometimes complex, resulted in more than satisfactory results. These personalized creations effectively meet my initial need for storage without having to depend on prefabricated solutions.

How I carried out this project

For the drawer furniture, I I started by assembling the furniture structure. I then mounted the drawers, and applied varnish to protect them and to ensure an aesthetic appearance. To finish, I attached the two drawers to each piece of furniture, with heavy-duty drawer slides. For the toolbox, I assembled the parts to obtain a box and its lid. Finally, I applied a careful finish to ensure an aesthetic appearance.
