Description of Tove

We temporarily had two IKEA Billy cabinets here, but that did not feel like a whole of the space. So we created a Book Wall that really belongs to the space. With the rails on the wall you can decide how high and how deep you want the shelves. Online we chose a beautiful plank (plywood interior poplar), white on the top/bottom, with an edge in which you can see the layers of the material. This gives a nice look.

How I made this project

The rails and shelf supports come from praxis. They come in different heights, so you can choose whether you want the entire wall or a section. I didn't want the shelves too deep, so measured what depth I needed to get the board games to fit exactly. Before choosing the planks, first ordered some test pieces. It was nice to see the material in real life and base our choice on that. I used 18mm for the thickness of the plank.

Dimensions of my DIY project

97.0cm wide and 200.0cm high
