Description

I have on the mdf paneel created a work of art from a sea of cast resin and sand, among other things. The work is finished with an aluminum edge.

A work of art with a base of MDF

I first gave the panel two good layers of black gesso. I then attached the aluminum edge and covered it with masking tape.

For the sand, I applied a thin layer of casting resin to part of the panel. Here I pressed a thick layer of sand. After 24 hours I removed the loose sand.

I then applied the first layer of water with clear casting resin. That's where I put the shells. I applied white casting resin (white made with pigment paste) to the edge of the water and spread it widely by blowing with a straw. Allow this to dry thoroughly first.

The second layer of water has been given a somewhat transparent turquoise color using acrylic ink. The casting resin should be a bit thick so that you get height. I also blew the white border here. Make sure this is dry before you continue.

The last wave consists of two opaque colors of turquoise using acrylic ink for a gradient and another white border. I also blew out some white on the water here.

Remove the painter's tape in parts where you are finished.

The diameter of the artwork

p>50.0 cm
