Make your own cupboard for the stair cupboard, by Tom

In many homes there is often a nice space under the stairs to store things. But there are actually no standard cabinets available for this. In this project, Tom shows how he has cleverly created extra storage space under the stairs. By ordering the sawn material online it was also a relatively simple project.

I made a cupboard for extra storage space (stock) in the stair cupboard, so that we can store more stuff and the space under the stairs is better used

How I made this project

First of all, I measured the situation accurately and then ordered all the custom shelves online. When I arrived I could immediately start putting the cabinet together. The cabinet actually consists of 2 parts, the bottom which is deeper (65cm) and the top which is less deep (30cm). This allows me to make better use of the empty space under the stairs. The upper part is simply placed on the lower part and screwed with steel angle profiles. The top has 2 shelves. 1 shelf can be placed at the bottom. I closed the back with thin plates.
